The Old Firehouse – Edom, Texas
The newest venue in East Texas offers a smoke-free and alcohol-free intimate coffeehouse setting. Monthly shows are scheduled. Owner Jeff and Judy Gottesman sell prints from their photography collection from their gallery on the same site. Jeff has assembled his photographic collection since 1988.

In Palestine, Texas, we don’t get to see many live shows, so we decided to try a house concert, and it was great! We are very selective of who we book so you only see the best performances.

Roland’s Next Door – Jacksonville, Texas
Comfortably situated in the back of a century old building, Roland’s Next Door was in the forefront of bringing outstanding acoustic music to East Texas since the early ’90s. Roland’s Next Door is a smoke and alcohol free, family friendly music venue. Each person is asked to make a donation of $8 ($5 for students) and all of the donations go to the performers. Coffee, cold drinks, and desserts are available. Reservations are not required and everyone is welcome.
Sherman House Concerts – Tyler, Texas
Creator of this site and promoter of acoustic music in East Texas. Host of such acts as Dana Cooper, Chuck Pyle, Michael Johnson and Tim Bays. Rare, but always good!
Piney Woods Pick’n Parlor – Mineola , Texas
The Pick’n Parlor is located in the ballroom of the historic Beckham Hotel in Mineola, Texas, has reopened under the management of Piney Woods Pick’n Parlor, Inc., a non-profit organization. Shows are infrequent, but always of top quality.
Camp Street Cafe & Store – Crocket, Texas
The Café & Store is housed in an old false-front tin building built in 1931. Camp Street (now South 3rd) used to be adjacent to the mule barn and wagon yard and was where freighters and families on shopping trips to town used to camp.
